"Cameron Frost is an internationally acclaimed photographer who's made waves with his work for over 10 years. He started his career in Los Angeles at the age of 19 and soon found himself photographing models, actors and celebrities in New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Costa Rica, London and Copenhagen. Over the years his client list has included: Jesse McCartney, Paris Hilton, Hollywood Records, MTV, Disney and Sony BMG, to name a few. He has published 3 books and 4 calendars and his work has been featured in magazines such as DNA, Popstar, DU&ICH, Instinct, Elle and People. In addition, his work has been included in several photography collections published by leading male contemporary photography publisher, Bruno Gmunder.
When Cameron Frost takes a photo, he is telling a story; after all, a picture is worth a thousand words. But telling the story of a person - capturing a personality, a secret, an emotion, a wish – is the most challenging task charged to a photographer. Only with a keen sense of finesse and aplomb can a life be told, and Cameron Frost has proven himself a shrewd biographer, as well.
Frost has a natural eye for beauty and character in his photos: a rare gift, its scope in him matched only by his love for his craft. His idealism and subtle charm lend breath to his photos; landscapes deepen, faces spark to life. Frost – who himself loves people – has always delighted in telling a person’s story through his photography.
With his camera, Frost conveys these stories with poise - but lets his subject do the talking. Each product is a fusion of Frost’s talent and his subject’s individuality. His composition is imbued with texture and clarity, giving voice to the character on the other side of his lens.
Frost gives each person he photographs a confident and inimitable representation of themselves, a brilliant biography in each of his shots. But with his ability to reveal these hidden facets of his subjects, he has given to himself a future, rich in artistic wisdom and constant exploration. His camera eloquently describes an innocent smile, a hushed serenity: a person’s story, left untold without the warm resonance of Frost’s photographic style.
In addition to photography, Cameron has also worked on the other side of the lens as a model and collaborated with several exceptionally talented artists: Greg Gorman, Howard Roffman, Richard Reinsdorf, Kai Feng and Bradford Rogne. Much of his influence came from these artists, as well as Richard Avedon, Mike Ruiz, George Hurrell, Helmut Newton, David La Chapelle and Mert & Marcus.
To capture in a photograph someone’s personality is to spin the tale of his or her life.
And Cameron Frost couldn’t be happier – or better-equipped - to tell you a story."
